Google “midlife” and it’s conjoined with crisis. Put midlife in the thesaurus and what comes up is the wrong side of 40. That’s total BS. It’s time to flip the script about getting older. While our youth-oriented society tells us we’re washed up after 50 and says our best years are behind us, the truth is chronological age is just a number and measure of time. We are living on average 34 years longer than our grandparents, which means at midlife we can look forward to an entire second adulthood.
On today’s show we are going to challenge what you’ve been told about getting old and give you specific tools and techniques to help you develop a positive mindset about getting older and as one of our guests, Donna Korren puts it become empty questers.
Here’s some of what we’re dishing about:
How to accentuate positive thinking
How positivity strengthens your emotional and mental health
The role of gratitude plays in terms of increasing wellbeing
Tips to live more positively
The most important first step to take in the empty nest stage of life
The truth about the vibrancy of the 50 plus demographic
The bottom line is that there is more to do than play pickleball after 50. The show will inspire you and provide info to help you stay positive and make the most of your second act.
